I can't believe the four kids and the construction project haven't worn down your spirit!

When I see my kids with their imaginative spirit and games, I forget what a lasting impression those moments will have on them. It is so wonderful that you are trying to create a life long destination for your family.

On a side note, I remember when YOUR family was building the big house out at Paxton. The hours and hours that your mother spent on every detail of how that house would be decorated... and... even more importantly, how that house would function! It was so cool! I was completely envious of the decorating and furniture picking... and even, the selection of the fabric for the window seat. I specifically remember your mother's obsession with the laundry/mud room, which SADLY, I can NOW relate to. If you would have told us in our tender years that we would have cared about the laundry room, we would have run out of the house sore from laughing.

I often, 30 years later, recollect your experience and the motions that I watched your family go through as I embark on my own decorating projects! It is not surprising to poke through your blog and see how the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Be sure to send warm wishes to your family...
Margaret Golden BowkerAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2239955139164435477.post-33863037329409827732008-05-04T12:38:00.000-05:002008-05-04T12:38:00.000-05:00Rechelle...You can run, but, you can't hide! I sat down tonight and I find one about ME!

How funny that you would remember the detail of the wallpaper, the cubby under the stairs, chili dogs and pickles. To this day I love chili dogs and pickles!

And by the way, the formal living room is still off limits. :)

Once again, thanks for the memory! I love reading your blog!

GigiAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2239955139164435477.post-11189011307675798682008-05-02T20:05:00.000-05:002008-05-02T20:05:00.000-05:00Yes, we seriously did.
